Ares is certified in trailing, avalanche search and rescue, Indoor, vehicle, and wilderness HRD.

Ares lives in Soldotna Alaska. This is a non-profit life safety project that is supported by our community. Donations from local businesses and from private individuals make this program possible.

Our Mission: To provide assistance to local, state and federal agencies, as well as participate in educational programs in our community.

What We Do

Ares is a trailing dog that will find and follow the trail of a lost person.

Ares can follow a trail that is from 24-36 hours old.

Ares teaches a Lost in the Woods program to children. The program educates children on what to do if they become lost in the woods and how to be found.

Ares is a certified avalanche dog that can find live or deceased people under the snow.

Ares can now search buildings, vehicles & Wilderness for cadaver.

Ares also participates in community events to promote safety in and around the water.

What are we working on?

Ares passed his 4 day double blind testing for wilderness HRD! AUG 12 2012.

Ares goal for 2013-2014 is to get his water HRD certification.

Ares completed his avalanche certification at the end of February 2011. The standards for his test can be found here, Standards

In 2013-2014 if funding is available we will be getting Ares certified as a water HRD dog.
